Choice of license..

Very interesting project and beautiful work, but why have you choosen GPLv2 as license? Its very hard to combine with other Lua things that are nearly all licensed with MIT style licenses ?

I would love to use ModMaker.lua, but cannot with a GPL based licens..

Thanks for the question, I spent a lot of time considering changing it.  However, I decided not to change the license.  First, the GPL license is compatible with the MIT license (see http://www.gnu.org/licenses/license-list.html#Expat).  Also, I like what is said on GNU's site regarding free software and proprietary software.  This library is unique (as far as I can tell) so it would be a great thing for for the open source community for this to only be available for people who also provide free software.  See http://www.gnu.org/licenses/why-not-lgpl.html for more information.

Sorry for any inconvenience,

ModMaker.
